Older Adults
Ilene Stavrach – Older Adults Director, 718-954-3155
Julia Dweck & Rachel Sultan – Co-Chairpeople

The community’s mature adults, of all stages and ages, are offered programs that engage the mind, promote a healthy body, and support a renewed spirit! The Center provides a warm social environment in which our members maintain old friendships, develop new ones, and stay active in a vibrant community.
The SCC offers special fitness classes that are low-impact and adaptable to every level of fitness, range of ages and body types, from yoga to water exercise.
For the mind, the Center’s discussion groups and seminars focus on the special issues that affect older adults in the “third stage of life.”
For the spirit, the program offers support groups, conferences, celebrations, commemorations, and community building cultural events.
