Shepherd's Pie

INGREDIENTS

1 small onion, chopped
1 pound chopped meat-beef
11?2 tablespoons allspice
Kosher salt
1?2 stick margarine
6 Eastern or Idaho potatoes

DIRECTIONS

1. Cook potatoes in boiling water until soft.

2. Sauté chopped meat with onion until cooked through.

3. Mash potatoes with margarine and salt in a bowl.

4. Line the bottom of a square or rectangular Pyrex with half of the amount of mashed potatoes. Add cooked meat and onions as a second layer.

5. Add the remaining half of mashed potatoes on top of the chopped meat and onions.

6. Bake in oven for 1?2 hour at 350°.

7. If you like your mashed potatoes more well done, bake longer.
