Nut Roll

INGREDIENTS 6 eggs DIRECTIONS 1. Separate eggs and beat whites until they stand in soft peaks. 2. Beat 1/2 cup sugar into mixture and set aside. 3. Without washing beater, beat yolks until thick and lemon colored. Add remaining sugar. 4. Mix chopped nuts, baking powder and salt. Stir into egg yolk mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites. 5. Spread batter into 10×14 jelly roll pan which has been buttered, lined with parchment paper and re-buttered. 6. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. 7. Take out of oven and cover with damp towl. Cool. 8. When cooled, turn out of pan and remove wax paper. 9. Spread cream evenly and roll like a jelly roll. 10. Chill. |
