Orange Chiffon Cake

INGREDIENTS 2 cups flour DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 325°. 2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. 3. Beat in oil, egg yolks, water and orange rind until smooth. 4. In a separate bowl, beat egg white until stiff peaks form. 5. Pour egg yolk mixture into egg white mixture, folding with spatula until well-blended. 6. Pour into ungreased tube pan. 7. Bake 1-1/4 hours or until top springs back when touched lightly. 8. Invert pan to cool. Chocolate Chip 2. Omit orange peel and beat in 2 teaspoons vanilla. 3. Just before pouring into pan, fold in 3 1-ounce squares grated sweet, semi-sweet or unsweetened chocolate. |
