Challah II

INGREDIENTS

1 5-pound bag of flour
2 packages of active dry yeast (6 squares)
5 cups of warm water
4 tablespoons of salt
1 cup of oil
1-3/4 cups of sugar
1 egg mixed with 1 teaspoon water

DIRECTIONS

1. Mix all ingredients together in the bread machine, putting the flour in last.

2. Mix until dough feels thick and smooth. (If sticky add more flour).

3. Transfer dough into large greased bowl.

4. Cover with large towel. Leave in a warm area for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

6. Take dough out and knead it a little bit.

7. Take a small piece off, wrap in aluminum foil, and say the Beracha "Baruch Ata Hashem Elokenu Melech Haolam Asher Kedishanu Bemitzvotav Vetzivnu Lehafrish Challah".

8. Burn the small piece. Cut the rest into 6 even pieces and roll out as desired.

10. Brush with eggwash and sprinkle sesame seeds.

11. Bake at 350° on tray with parchment paper for about 20 minutes.

12. Freeze in plastic bags.

13. On Friday afternoon, take out.

14. Wrap in aluminum foil and heat in oven before serving.
