Challah III

INGREDIENTS

2 cups warm water
2 packages yeast
1 tablespoon salt
2/3 cup sugar
7 cups flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup melted margarine
1 egg for brushing

DIRECTIONS

1. Combine yeast, warm water, sugar and salt.

2. In a large bowl, mix in order – flour, egg and margarine.

3. Place in large greased bowl to rise for 1-1/2 hours.

4. Punch down and allow to rise for 1/2 hour-1 hour.

5. Roll challah into desired shapes, brushing with egg for color.

6. Bake 20 minutes at 350° until golden.
