Bar-B-Q Sauce

INGREDIENTS

1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
4 lemons, thinly sliced and seeded
1/2 cup unsalted margarine
3 onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
3 bay leaves
2 dried chili peppers
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup A-1 steak sauce or Pickapeppa Jamaican hotsauce
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon peeled and grated ginger
2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon soy sauce
Salt
Pepper

DIRECTIONS

1. Combine all ingredients in saucepan over heat, stirring until it simmers.

2. Simmer 30 minutes until lemons soften and sauce thickens.

3. Discard lemons and bay leaves.
