Corned Beef

INGREDIENTS

3-4 pounds brick roast corned beef
1 peeled onion, left whole
2 peeled garlic cloves, left whole
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons caraway seeds

Glaze
1 jar Saucy Susan
1 jar sweet and sour sauce (red)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

DIRECTIONS

1. Place corned beef in pot with enough water to cover.

2. Bring to a boil.

3. Throw away water.

4. Fill pot again with water and add corned beef, sugar, garlic, onion and caraway seeds.

5. Bring to boil, lower flame, cover pot and simmer for about three hours until meat is tender.

6. Remove corned beef from pot and place in a Pyrex dish.

7. Pour glaze on top.

8. Cover Pyrex dish.

9. Bake in pre heated 350° oven for 20 minutes.

10. Remove cover then bake for another 20 minutes.

11. Allow to cool. Slice.

12. Serve at room temperature.
