On March 23, 2010, Joey Shamie was honored for his many years of dedicated service to the Sephardic Community Center. Joey, who has held several posts over the years on the SCC’s executive board was recognized for his involvement in multiple Center departments and as a valued contributor to numerous programs. The award ceremony recognized a select handful of outstanding Jewish leaders from throughout the New York area who had distinguished themselves in service to the UJA-Federation, to the JCC Association movement, and to their own community. Congratulations Joey. We are honored!
