There is an impoverished village called Bumayi, in Uganda, which is home to 1,400 malnourished people who have no access to clean drinking water. Without clean drinking water, they can’t grow food, build homes, go to school, or earn a living. The majority of their day is spent trekking miles down a forest path to retrieve contaminated, dirty water for their families. The saddest part of this reality is that drinking this muddy excuse for water often results in life threatening diseases and other ailments.
How can we help? I’m glad you asked. In conjunction with an amazing Israeli organization called Innovation Africa, I have personally committed to help bring Israeli water technology to this village, giving these 1,400 people clean drinking water forever. Along with some friends at The Sephardic Community Center, I will be traveling to Bumayi, Uganda in June to complete this unique Tikun Olam project and help make a tremendous Kidush Hashem on your behalf.
That’s where you come in. With one click, you can change their lives forever. This is a one-time fix, with a life-long impact. This, without question, will be the best money you spend all year. You have the chance to break the cycle of poverty for 1,400 people that were dealt the wrong hand in life. In just a moment, you can enable a future for these individuals, their children, grandchildren and future generations for years to come. In 100 years from now, your great-great-grandchildren will be able to point to Bumayi and know that their great-great grandfather is the reason that this village thrives today.
All because of a 30 second decision you made today.
So far, thank G-d, we raised $68,500 out of our $200,000 we need to raise to complete the project. We have a long way to go, so please take a minute to give. It will be the best minute of your day.
Let’s change the world together.
