Guest Services Relations Agent

This position is for a Guest Services Relations Agent at the Sephardic Community Center for the Front Courtesy/Security Desk.

We are a non-profit with many departments ranging from an Early Childhood Preschool to Seniors. We are committed to providing excellent customer relations to our members as well as potential members and the same is expected for any candidate of this position.

Now hiring for the afternoon shift, hours are as follows:
Sundays 3pm-8pm
Mondays 3pm-10pm
Tuesdays 1:30pm-10pm
Wednesdays 3pm-10pm
Thursdays 3pm-10pm
Fridays 1pm-3pm

Status: Full time/Part time
Location: Brooklyn, NY

 

General Function

This person is responsible for ensuring all Members complete a temperature check, covid questionnaire and are wearing a face mask properly, prior to entering the building.
Additionally, all members must be current, active & must check in before entering the Building.
This position requires the candidate to be aware and observe all security cameras as well as other aspects related to security of the building.
This position is weighed heavily in human relations and excellent customer service, by conducting themselves in a caring, responsible, honest and respectful manner.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Customer service experience or equivalent
Pleasant demeanor
Computer skills necessary.
Use of Quattro Program (Membership Program) – Will Train
Experience handling multiple phone-lines preferred.
Previous cash-handling experience.
English preferred but not required

Essential Functions

Keep safety as the number one priority.
Emphasize safety of the building with staff, volunteers, members and program participants.
Be proficient regarding emergency procedures
Maintain a neat and orderly work area maximizing efficiency and work output.
Takes active part in team building and general morale.
Report all accidents/unusual incidents immediately
Performs other duties as required by supervisor, remains flexible.
Assist in telephone contact with current members, new members and potential members on an ongoing basis.
Maintain good communication with other Staff, Managers, Directors and Supervisors.
Follow dress code guidelines during each shift.

Job Segments

Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Sephardic Community programs, membership categories and Membership options.
Utilize good sales techniques to promote programs and memberships in order to produce membership and program sales.
Provide general information on membership and programs for all members, program participants and potential members in a professional and courteous manner in person and/or via phone.
Maintain regular communication with co-workers, supervisor and other Directors.

Other Duties

Perform all Membership operations (Greeting, sales, class/program registration).
Knows where to look for information, or whom to ask to answer questions for members.
Maintain accurate records for all transactions.
Answer telephones and field calls.
Cash-out the front desk cash drawer.
Report any Membership issues that arise and follows through with member and communicates resolution as necessary.

Helping reach membership and program goals.
