Gabriel Lavin

Gabriel Lavin is a guitarist and oudist based in Brooklyn. He teaches everything between jazz, rock, and Middle Eastern music, and performs with various groups and ensembles throughout the New York City area. Gabriel holds a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from the University of California, Los Angeles. In teaching, Gabriel prioritizes helping students build a physical connection with their instrument and to cultivate the muscle memory, finger strength, and listening skills needed to become a well-rounded musician.
