Gil Alper is an Israeli guitarist, composer, and educator based in New York. His music blends influences from jazz, rock, metal, and folk traditions, creating a personal style that balances improvisation with composition.
He is a graduate of The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York, where he studied with artists including Pasquale Grasso, Gilad Hekselman, Sam Yahel, Nir Felder, Oded Tzur.
Alongside his performing career, Gil has over eight years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages in private lessons, music schools, and ensemble settings. His teaching emphasizes strong musical fundamentals, creativity, ear training, improvisation, and developing each student’s individual musical voice.
