Simone Salmon is a New York-based pianist, harpist, guitarist, and oud player, and a doctoral candidate in Ethnomusicology at UCLA, where her research centers on Jewish musical life in Turkey. She earned her master’s degree in Musicology from the University of Oxford, specializing in post-tonal analysis and Eastern Sephardic traditions. Active as a freelance musician since age eight, Simone’s performance career spans classical, jazz, rock, Irish, and Middle/Near Eastern music across international stages and recording studios.
