Jazz Bootcamp

Interested in exploring the world of jazz in a fun, engaging, and educational setting? Visit the Center to participate in Jazz Bootcamp!

Students will have the opportunity to:

• Play in an ensemble and experience the joy of making music as a group

• Learn about groove, jazz harmony, and improvisation in an interactive and hands-on way

• Record in our professional studio, creating a lasting memory of the experience

Qualifications:

• Must play an instrument at a beginner-intermediate level
• Willingness to actively engage and experiment with new ideas
• Horn and guitar players bring their own instruments; piano/keyboard, amps, and drums will be provided

This program is designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and provide theoretical knowledge that enhances each student’s musical journey

Led by Encore Faculty Member Moshe Elmakias

• Israeli composer and pianist with a virtuosic personal style

• Moshe recently completed his Master’s degree at the New England Conservatory of Music and is completing his Doctor of Musical Arts at SUNY-Stony Brook

• He is among the new generation of Israeli jazz musicians
